Croft and Graves Optometrists in an Independent Optical Practice situated in the beautiful village of Corbridge, Northumberland, situated just 35 minutes outside Newcastle, with a pleasant commute, against the traffic. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Dispensing Optician to join our team.

Key responsibilities.

• Eyewear dispensing –Guide clients through the frame and lens selection process, considering their preferences, budget, and prescription requirements, providing expert advice on frame styles, materials and lens options, and considering face shape and lifestyle preferences.
• Lens Selection – provide expert guidance on lens options, coatings, and materials, explaining the benefits, value, and features to clients.
• Frame Fitting – precisely measure and fit spectacles to ensure comfort and optimal visual performance.
• Prescription verification – verify prescription accuracy and ensure that eyewear orders meet the highest quality standards.
• Repairs and adjustments – perform spectacle repairs, adjustments, and maintenance services as needed, to enhance the longevity of eyewear.
• Stock management and frame buying – play a vital role in supporting the business in researching, sourcing, and buying eyewear, managing frame reps, and stock management including inventory management, ensuring a diverse selection of eyewear for clients.
• Professional development – stay up to date on the latest eyewear trends, lens technologies and industry trends and developments to support the business, your own professional and personal development and to provide informed recommendations to clients.
• Management support – supporting the Practice Manager in continuous improvement of the Dispensing role and/or delegated tasks.
